In the context of its attempt to consolidate local democracy and activating the role of the local Councils "Maat" invites you to attend the press conference for the opening of citizen's voice project which will be implemented by "Maat" in cooperation with Foundation for the Future in Jordan in four Egyptian provinces (Giza, Helwan , Al-Sharkia and Qena) the conference will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2009 in the Nile ferry "Nile Moon" in Maadi Nile Corniche in front of Nile Mall at nine thirty in the morning (9:30 am ).
The citizen's voice project aims to increase the efficiency , effectiveness , the response of the local people's councils members on the demands of citizens , and build mechanisms of communication between citizens and their representatives in these councils .
The speakers in the conference are :

في أطار سعيه الدائم لترسيخ الديمقراطية المحلية وتفعيل دور المجالس الشعبية المنتخبة ، فإن " ماعت " يتشرف بدعوة سيادتكم لحضور المؤتمر الصحفي الحاشد لافتتاح مشروع صوت المواطن الذي ينفذه " ماعت " بالتعاون مع مؤسسة المستقبل بالأردن وذلك في أربعة محافظات مصرية هي ( الجيزة وحلوان والشرقية وقنا ) ، وذلك يوم الخميس الموافق 26 مارس 2009 بالباخرة النيلية قمر النيل – كورنيش المعادي أمام نايل مول في تمام الساعة التاسعة والنصف صباحا
ويهدف المشروع إلى زيادة كفاءة وفاعلية واستجابة أعضاء المجالس الشعبية المحلية ، وبناء آليات للتواصل بين المواطنين وممثليهم في هذه المجالس .
وسيقوم بتشريف المؤتمر وإلقاء الكلمات الافتتاحية كلا من :

رئيس المجلس القومي لحقوق الإنسان .
2. الأستاذ الدكتور / علي الدين هلال
أستاذ العلوم السياسية و عضو مجلس الشورى .
